Rainbow Springs

On Tuesday we went to Rainbow Springs in Rotorua. We went on the bus. We had lots of fun there and we saw kiwis and tuataras. There was a huge eel and lots of other birds too.

We are learning how to weave. We used black strips of paper and we had to weave them through another piece of paper in an under ,over pattern. It was tricky but we didn’t give up and we think our weaving looks great.

Our new school hall.

Today we got to go inside our new school hall for the first time. We thought it was big and we are looking forward to using it for all sorts of things when it is all finished.

Kiwis

We have been learning about creatures that are special to New Zealand. Today we went to the Discovery Centre and drew pictures of kiwis on the paint programme. They look great.

We are learning how to give and follow directions. We went out to the playground to practice with a buddy. We used words like up, down, through, around, over, under, along and between.

Cross Country Training

This term we are training for our junior school cross country. We are running around the field without stopping and playing running games so we can get fit.

I’m the King of the Mountain

We have been reading “I’m King of the Mountain.” We drew pictures showing how the characters were feeling and shared our ideas about them.
